Welcome to the 2022 Northern Rallysprint Series. The aim of the site is to provide competitors with news on the series including rounds, venues, points tables and updates.
Steve Russell took an enormous amount of time putting together the site info, particularly the History of the series, so do take the time to have a read, you might learn a thing or two.
The series remains strong with support from North Island Clubs and competitors. Rallysprint’s are fundamental mid-level events, pivotal for clubs and competitors in preparation for the next level – rally. They’re clubs bread-and-butter events, also providing a great platform for rally competitors to squeeze in crucial testing time before tackling club and national rally competition.
Six rounds are scheduled for 2022, including a mixture of our absolute favourite roads from the regional boundary to boundary, and some not so familiar roads including Motorsport Bay of Plenty’s Mangatoi Road & TECT Park, a two-stage event.
A big thank you to event sponsors CPS and Suspension Tech for their ongoing support of this well attended series, running now for well over 30 years. It’s awesome to see recognition of both drivers and co-drivers, as we continue the legacy of the series moving forward.
Thank you to club organisers, club contacts, competitors, sponsors, photographers, media liaisons and anyone else in between for their support. Whether it be big or small, every set of hands count to make these events happen and continue grass roots rally into the future. We look forward to seeing you out and about at club events.
Congratulations to 2021 series driver and co-driver overall & class winners! CPS Driver winners Series …Read More »
